LEGO just unveiled a look inside their (deep breath, hold onto your pocketbooks) $350 dollar Ghostbusters headquarters set… and it’s a doozy.
Three floors of intricate movie references crammed into a plastic brick firehouse, for the cost of a month’s worth of groceries. They’re including 12 mini-figures, with a nice mix of ghosts and humans – so you can reenact most of the movie at home. Again though, three hundred and fifty dollars.
Then again you could not spend all of that money and just look at these photos of the set. You’ll say “cool!” to yourself and move along. The choice is yours.
Thar she blows, the day dream of a child in 1991. Very curious if kids today would be psyched to play or completely oblivious to what a “Ghostbuster” is.
Inside the set are 9 or so areas to hunt for spectres.
If there was any doubt, the pole works.
Gatekeeper, Keymaster and a slimed Venkman are all present.
Rick Moranis, represented in LEGO form for the first time.
Little nods to Ghostbusters II are present here and there, like these burnt photos of Vigo the Carpathian.
So, yeah, fun and all…
Just remember. $350.
